Since 1993, Eric Shifrin has been performing steadily in the Bay Area. He’s been the house pianist at the landmark Fairmont San Francisco since the turn of the century. This year, SAN FRANCISCO magazine named him The Best Piano Man ‘ 07. In addition to adding the final polish to the sophisticated atmosphere of the Fairmont’s Laurel Court 4 nights a week, Shifrin displays his saloon stylings at his “buried treasure” Mondays at North Beach destination: The Washington Sq. Bar & Grill. ERIC & THE IN CROWD is often a trio (every Saturday @ the Fairmont) featuring Eric on piano with bass and drums. For special events The In Crowd expands to include a saxophone or guitar and/or also feature Shifrin’s famed baritone voice. Eric Shifrin is a full time musician and composer, a fanatic for records and sheet music and truly loves to perform his favorites from a vast repetoire.
