Many members have lost their income from playing and teaching. They run the risk of losing their homes or healthcare due to their inability to pay. If you have the means to help, please consider donating here. Your donations are not tax-deductible but they will be held in a special fund allocated to musicians in need. Thank you for your generosity.

The Musicians Union Local 6 is a labor union for professional musicians. Our goal is to improve the economic status, social position and general welfare of our members. Membership is open to all musicians and vocalists who work part-time or full-time in pop, rock, country, jazz, classical, folk or other areas of music making.

Office Building Closed

Following the executive orders issued by Governor Newsom, effective immediately, the AFM Local 6 office will be closed until further notice.

Staff and officers are working remotely during regular business hours from 10 – 4, Monday through Friday. We continue to serve our members by phone, email and other digital means.
