The Musicians Union Local 6 is a labor union for professional musicians. Our goal is to improve the economic status, social position and general welfare of our members. Membership is open to all musicians and vocalists who work part-time or full-time in pop, rock, country, jazz, classical, folk or other areas of music making.




In response to the devastating fires in the North Bay, Local 6 member Robert Ashley has created a craigslist style website for Local 6 members to post their spare bedrooms/couches/etc. for musicians affected by the fire to use. At this point we do not know how many people are affected. Here is the site:


The Local 6 election is underway. By now you should have received your ballot in the mail. Please mail it back, or drop it off in person at the office. The ballot box closes on October 26.
