Did you miss this week’s webinar providing an overview of the new rules for crossing international borders with musical instruments that contain protected species? No worries! The webinar was recorded and may be viewed here.

The one-hour webinar featured experts from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the agency that implements the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in the United States. Basics about the U.S. African elephant ivory rules adopted last summer and new policies created at this year’s CITES treaty negotiations were reviewed. Watch it here.

We hosted the webinar with the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers, League of American Orchestras, The Recording Academy, and NAMM.
